The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, for his alleged involvement in the abuse of the Nigerian currency, the spraying of naira notes, and currency mutilation. The controversial figure, who has been embroiled in several controversies recently, was arrested in Lagos on Wednesday night and is currently being held at the Lagos Command of the EFCC.
The spokesperson for the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrest and stated that Bobrisky would be facing charges in court. Oyewale emphasized the agency’s commitment to restoring the dignity of the Nigerian currency and stressed that the investigation is ongoing. However, he assured that Bobrisky would be brought before the court in due course.
