According to the eyewitness, the boat carrying Junior Pope collided with another vessel that was transporting passengers. This collision resulted in both boats collapsing into the river, leading to the boat accident. It seems that the rider of Junior Pope’s boat failed to notice the oncoming vessel in a timely manner, ultimately causing the collision.

However, some of the victims managed to hold onto the rope of a capsized boat, finding temporary refuge as they awaited help. Currently, reports indicate that three bodies, including that of Junior Pope, have been recovered from the water. However, the search for the remaining victims is still ongoing.
