A 22-year-old boy identified as Francis Okoye Obinna was apprehended by the Edo Police Command during his journey from Lagos State to Anambra State. The arrest was made on April 7th after a gun and a POS (point of sale) machine were allegedly discovered in his possession.
In a statement issued by the command, it was stated that during the stop and search procedure, a POS machine, nine rounds of 6mm ammunition, and a Brownie pistol with breach number PZ1833 were discovered. In his confession, Obinna stated that Mr. Paul Okoye, whom he accused of using a charm to kill his father in Anambra State, had given him the gun to threaten him. Emma, a man in Lagos, was the source of this information.
To verify the truth behind the 22-year-old boy’s act, the command’s operatives traveled to Lagos for further investigation. However, it was determined that the suspect had been fabricating his story.
