EFCC Arrest 48 Yahoo Guys With Charms And Other Properties

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has recently made arrests in Lokoja on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, in Kogi State, involving 48 suspected internet fraudsters and a herbalist. The arrests were made as part of the EFCC’s efforts to combat cybercrime and fraudulent activities in Nigeria.

  • The arrests were carried out by the Ilorin Zonal Command of the EFCC.
  • The suspects were apprehended for offenses related to conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretenses.
  • The operation was conducted based on credible intelligence gathered by the EFCC.
  • The arrests took place at various locations in Lokoja.
  • Among the arrested individuals was a herbalist who is believed to have been providing spiritual support to internet fraudsters.
  • Various items were recovered during the operation, including 10 exotic cars, two motorcycles, 11 laptops, 83 mobile phones, and charms.
  • The suspects, all males ranging in age from 17 to 34, will undergo further investigation and will be arraigned in court.
