The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC) proudly announces the completion of a substantial upgrade to its power infrastructure in the Sango/Ota region of Ogun State.
Francis Agoha, the Acting Managing Director of IBEDC, shared this exciting development in a statement released in Ota on Wednesday.
Agoha emphasized that the enhancement was geared towards significantly enhancing the reliability of power supply for customers in the area. The key improvements included the successful migration of the Sango 33 KV feeder to a more robust T3 100 MVA, 132 KV/33 KV transformer at the Ota Transmission Station.
In addition, a new dedicated ROTOCROWN 33 KV feeder has been introduced to cater to the growing electricity demands and ensure superior service quality for over 10,241 customers.
The upgraded transformers at the Ota Transmission Station now support three essential feeders – ROTOCROWN 33 KV, TOWER ALLOY 33KV, and SANGO 33 KV. These enhancements will not only meet the rising energy needs of various communities but also provide stable electricity supply for the enhanced Sango 33 KV feeder.
Agoha highlighted that these improvements are expected to significantly improve the quality of life for residents and businesses in the region by ensuring a more consistent and reliable electricity supply.
He reiterated IBEDC’s commitment to service excellence and infrastructure investment, emphasizing their dedication to enhancing the electricity infrastructure in their operational areas. The increased transformer capacity at the Ota transmission station will enable IBEDC to meet the growing electricity demands and offer a more stable and reliable power supply to customers in Sango-Ota.
The Acting Managing Director affirmed IBEDC’s steadfast commitment to delivering reliable and efficient electricity services. He described these recent upgrades as part of a broader strategy to modernize the power distribution network and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Agoha concluded by stating that IBEDC’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure investment ensures the continued provision of high-quality electricity services to its valued customers.
