The post states, “In light of the ongoing protests taking place at home and as a sign of respect, I have chosen to delay the release of Burning music video. During this time, my thoughts go out for those outside who are currently in danger. I pray that the voices of these protesters will be recognized.”

Among the artists and celebrities who participated in calling for good governance, Tems’ response to the protest was just one of many. Also commenting on the trend #EndBadGovernaceInNigeria were Vector, Omah Lay, Adekunle Gold, Spyro,M r Macaroni,Iyabo Ojo,and Konstance.

Starting on August 1st, the demonstration is a response to President Bola Tinubu’s reforms which have led to mounting economic challenges and difficulties in meeting living expenses.

Protesters rallied in various states, advocating for the government to reverse its decision on PMS and power subsidy cuts. Additionally, they urged officials to lower the expenses associated with governance.

Fans and observers appreciated Tems’ choice to delay the premiere of her music video, as she displayed solidarity with Nigeria’s suffering populace.

After the protest, it’s anticipated that the music video for one of her songs from ‘Born In The Wild,‘ her debut album recently released, will be unveiled by the singer. However, no new date has been declared yet.
