Mrs. Sabina Mamah, a secondary school teacher from Obollo Orie in Udenu Council Area of Enugu State, recently welcomed quadruplets after 14 years of marriage. However, she now faces financial challenges and is seeking assistance from well-meaning Nigerians.
Mrs. Mamah, who gave birth to quadruplets were, three boys and a girl at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) in Enugu, revealed that she is unable to settle her delivery bills. Despite being discharged, she and her newborns are being detained by the hospital due to unpaid bills.
The 46-year-old teacher shared that she and her husband, Christopher, a driver, have been struggling with fertility issues since their marriage in 2010. They were overjoyed to welcome their long-awaited children but are now burdened by medical expenses.
While a generous individual has cleared the bill for the babies, amounting to N600,000, Mrs. Mamah still owes over N40,000 for her own medical expenses. Additionally, they are in debt for other hospital items like diapers and baby milk.
Appealing to the public for support, Mrs. Mamah expressed gratitude to the hospital for their assistance and called on the Enugu State Government and well-wishers to assist them financially. She provided her bank account details for donations and emphasized the importance of community assistance in raising their precious children.
Her husband, Christopher, echoed her plea for support, acknowledging their financial limitations as a tipper driver. They are hopeful that with the help of compassionate Nigerians, they can overcome their current challenges and provide a bright future for their quadruplets.
