A heartbreaking incident occurred in Lagos where a 17-year-old apprentice took his own life after being accused of stealing N100,000 from his employer. This tragic event has brought attention to the mental health and well-being of young individuals who find themselves facing such serious allegations.
The apprentice, identified as Ojibe Chibueze, was accused of stealing N100,000 from his boss.
Concerned for her brother’s well-being, Chibueze’s sister, Cynthia, reported the situation to the police when he failed to return home. She received a distressing phone call informing her that his lifeless body was discovered at Abijo Bus Stop, Ajah, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
The police promptly arrived at the scene and found Chibueze’s body with foam coming out of his mouth and nostrils. Adjacent to him, they discovered a can of sniper, a poisonous substance. As part of the investigation, the police have taken possession of the can of sniper as evidence and have transported Chibueze’s body to the Epe General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation. The investigation into the case is currently ongoing.
