Armed Men Rob Travellers And Set Bus Ablaze In Ogun

In a shocking and tragic incident that unfolded on a fateful Saturday, a group of armed men launched a brazen attack on a luxury bus at the Oke Ado Junction in Ijebu-Mushin, along the Ijebu-Ode-Benin Expressway. The passengers, who were eagerly traveling to the Southeast to celebrate Easter, were abruptly thrust into a nightmarish ordeal that left them traumatized and shaken to their core.

According to eyewitnesses, the armed men robbed the passengers of their personal belongings before setting the bus on fire. The passengers were left stranded and in a state of shock and disbelief as the luxury Mercedes Benz bus, operated by Ifesinachi Transport Limited, was consumed by flames.

SP Omolola Odutola, spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the incident, revealing that the armed men used cutlasses during the attack. The defenseless passengers were subjected to a harrowing ordeal, with their possessions snatched away and some even stripped of their clothing.

One of the passengers, Chude Nnamdi, shared a video of the attack on social media, capturing the terror. The victims related their personal stories, thanking God they were still alive and regretting the damage and loss of their possessions.

This incident brings attention to the security challenges faced by travelers in certain areas, emphasizing the need for increased vigilance and robust security measures. The government and law enforcement agencies must act promptly to ensure the safety of citizens and travelers.
