A primary school in Kaduna, Nigeria was the target of a distressing incident where bandits shot one pupil and abducted numerous students. The following are important details about this event:

Kuriga town, located in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was invaded.

The bandits specifically targeted LEA Primary School in Kuriga (1).

On Thursday, March 7 at approximately 8:20 am, the attack occurred.

The bandits created a state of panic among the students as soon as they entered school grounds. Upon sighting them, students ran out of their classrooms in hasty retreat.

Unfortunately, a student was shot during the invasion.

The specific count of abducted persons has not been verified, although locals approximate it to be approximately 100.

The kidnapped victims were then led by the bandits to the nearby forest.

Investigation and Response:

Up until the report was released, there had been no official statements from either the governor or police in regards to the incident.

Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner entrusted with overseeing internal security and home affairs has not replied to a text message he received.

ASP Mansir Hassan, the Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, could not be contacted for a statement.
