The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has opened a new registration office in Abuja. This will help point of sale (POS) operators follow the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) rules before July 7th.

At the opening, CAC boss Hussaini Magaji said putting POS companies in the CAC database is important. It lets the government watch these businesses. Operators can also register online or in-person.

The new office works all day and night. It shows CAC’s commitment to meeting their goals. Once operators give details online, they get certificates fast with no extra steps.

Registration lets CAC get full details on companies, like pictures and ID numbers. Then they can deal with any issues. Bringing fintech into the formal economy also makes things more open and fair.

The CBN wants fintech to follow laws by July 7th. This shows their support for a system that helps businesses safely. Setting up the new office lets CAC register operators well before the deadline.

Working together, the government and fintech industry can build an system that inspires new ideas. It also protects customers and helps Nigeria’s economy grow strongly.”
