It was a joyous occasion at the Cathedral Church of Christ in Lagos on the weekend as the daughter of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Modupeorelouwa, tied the knot with her lover, Oladele. This comes a week after their rousing traditional wedding.

The Anglican Bishop of Lagos, Rt. Revd. Ifedola Okupevi, officiated the sacred nuptials, blessed the union, and declared the new couple husband and wife. In attendance were dignitaries from all walks of life, including the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu.
Governors in attendance were Mr. Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Senator Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Dr. Alex Otti (Abia), Mr. Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), and Prof. Chukwuma Soludo (Anambra). Former Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was also present to rejoice with the Sanwo-Olu family.

It was a delightful moment steeped in happiness and love as the bride and groom formally took their vows before God and man. All guests joined in prayers for their success in marriage and as they begin their journey as Mr. & Mrs. Oladele. Photos and videos from the occasion have since flooded social media timelines. On behalf of my entire family, I wish the new couple God’s choicest blessings.
