Dangote mentioned that when he initially considered the purchase, Arsenal was not performing well, but now both the club’s and market valuations have significantly increased, making it unaffordable at around $4 billion.
He emphasized that his financial focus was on completing other projects, which was a priority over buying the football club. Despite his regret, Dangote remains a dedicated fan and major supporter of Arsenal, watching their games regularly.
