The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has firmly denied social media rumors claiming changes to corps members’ bank accounts to reflect a new N70,000 national minimum wage. According to the NYSC, no official instructions have been received to make such adjustments.

Eddy Megwa, NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, stated that these online reports are baseless and misleading. The NYSC assures that there has been no communication from authorities to initiate NYSC minimum wage payments or upgrade accounts in line with the rumored wage increase.
