Pope Francis has strongly asked again for fighting to stop right away in Gaza. He spoke to large crowds at St. Peter’s Square in Rome. The Holy Father also prayed that Israeli friends held there be let go.

While sunlight shone on the beautifully decorated square, Pope Francis led Mass. Then, from his special balcony, he gave his usual “Urbi et Orbi” blessing to the city and world. The Pope said fighting must end in Gaza so people can get help. He wants them to have aid.

Pope Francis has a heavy heart for all suffering, especially kids in war-torn areas. “How sad their eyes look,” he said. “In those places, children don’t smile anymore. Their eyes ask, ‘Why so much death and destruction?’ War only leads to bad things.”

As well as Gaza, Pope Francis spoke against a terrible crime: people being forced to do bad things against their will. He prayed for victims of violence, hunger, and climate change’s harms. The Pope wants a future filled with hope instead of harm. He knows some cause fear through wrong acts.

On Easter, Pope Francis reminds us that peace, caring for others, and respecting rights are most important. In hard times, he shines as an example of speaking the truth and bringing people together. May we answer his call to build a kinder world free from violence, where all find compassion.
