During a gathering at the State House in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu acknowledged Nigeria’s ongoing struggle with high inflation but expressed confidence in the positive direction of the country’s overall economic indicators under his administration. The president emphasized that taming inflation remains a top priority, but assured Nigerians that the broader economic landscape is showing signs of improvement.

Addressing members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and the Independent Campaign Council, President Tinubu reassured the nation that efforts are underway to steer the economy toward sustainable growth and prosperity for all Nigerian families. He highlighted the government’s commitment to reducing inflation and stabilizing the exchange rate, pointing out the progress being made in these areas.

President Tinubu also spoke about the importance of education in fighting poverty, emphasizing his signing of the Student Loans Re-enactment Bill as a significant step toward providing a brighter future for the Nigerian child. He stressed that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and expressed optimism about the promising future that lies ahead for Nigerian children.

The President acknowledged the tireless efforts of the PCC and ICC members during his election campaign, attributing their hard work and dedication to his victory. He recognized the high expectations placed upon his administration and assured the supporters that he was committed to delivering on those expectations. President Tinubu emphasized the need for perseverance and determination, acknowledging that progress takes time and consistent focus.

Urging citizens to have faith in Nigeria and support his administration, President Tinubu drew parallels to the development of Europe and America, emphasizing that success is achieved through persistence and hard work. He called on Nigerians to pray for the country, think about its future, and take ownership of resolving its challenges.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Senator Simon Lalong, and other officials also expressed their gratitude to the supporters for their perseverance. They reassured the gathering that the president appreciates their efforts and remains committed to fulfilling their expectations.
