According to Lindaikeji’s blog report, a man in Thailand endured a harrowing incident when a huge python bit him on the testicles, leaving his bathroom covered in blood as he desperately tried to kill the snake with a toilet brush.
The victim, Thanat Thangtewanon, was attacked by the 12-foot reptile, which had been hiding in the U-bend of his home toilet on Tuesday, August 20.
Moments after sitting down, Thanat felt an excruciating pain in his testicles. He recounted, “I felt something biting me. It was very painful, so I put my hands in the toilet to see what was wrong and was shocked to grab a snake.”
Thanat quickly stood up and yanked the snake out. Despite immense pain and blood everywhere, he was even more shocked to find a python in his toilet.
In a desperate bid to free himself, Thanat grabbed a toilet brush and repeatedly hit the snake’s head until it released its grip and died.
The father promptly went to a hospital to receive a tetanus vaccine. Fortunately, doctors informed him that the wound was not deep enough to require stitches and would heal in a few weeks.
Thanat later remarked, “My testicles are safe now. I’m lucky it wasn’t a venomous snake like a cobra, which could have killed me.
“But I haven’t used that toilet since. Every time I need to go, I check inside and use a brush to make sure nothing’s there.”
Such incidents have occurred several times before in Thailand. In 2016, a resident named Attaporn Boonmakchuay was ambushed by a 10-foot-long python while using a squat toilet in Chachoengsao province. His wife ran into the room upon hearing his screams and helped remove the python’s jaws from his penis. Attaporn passed out due to blood loss but survived after treatment at Chularat Hospital.
Similarly, in 2020, a housewife named Boonsong Plaikaew was bitten on her buttocks by a python while sitting on the toilet bowl in Samut Prakan province.
