President Tinubu has enacted a new bill

Tinubu’s Special Adviser highlighted the need for judicial officers in Nigeria to intensify their efforts in delivering timely justice.

President Bola Tinubu has approved a bill adjusting the salaries and allowances of judicial office holders. This was announced by Sen. Basheer Lado, the Special Adviser on Senate Matters, in Abuja on Tuesday.

“This significant step demonstrates the president’s priority for the well-being of Nigerian workers,” Lado stated. “Just like he recently paused a Federal Executive Council meeting to sign the new National Minimum Wage Bill of ₦70,000.”

The newly enacted law outlines updated salaries, allowances, and other benefits for judicial officers, reflecting current realities. Lado referred to this as a landmark achievement, showcasing Tinubu’s commitment to the welfare of Nigeria’s workforce.

“This decision highlights the president’s dedication to ensuring that workers in crucial roles receive fair recognition and compensation,” Lado continued. “Under Tinubu’s administration, the focus on worker welfare is key to national progress.”

“His policies enhance the lives of millions, uphold the dignity of labor, and ensure that those who serve the nation are properly rewarded,” he added. “This approval is a clear sign of the president’s ongoing efforts to foster a more prosperous and equitable country, where every worker contributes to national greatness.”

Lado also praised Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives Abass Tajudeen for their commitment to improving citizens’ welfare. He acknowledged the National Assembly members for their dedication in passing and forwarding the executive bill.

He encouraged judicial officers to work harder to ensure justice is delivered promptly. “The judiciary is the hope of the common man, and it is crucial that all Nigerians receive justice, regardless of their status,” he concluded.
